Annette Vendelbo is an agile specialist and has for many years been involved in agile transformations. She has helped many organizations both private and public - in- and outside IT - to get the most out of their ambitions to reach higher organizational agility with Kanban given their particular context and agile readiness. Annette is one of the only Lean Kanban trainers in Denmark.
She has been teaching Kanban to numerous teams, both open classes and company internal classes . Many followed by team workshops to build their Kanban system fitting their particular situation. Not two teams are the same. To help her customers keep their transformations sustainable, she has written the book "A Basis Guide to Kanban" (in Danish "Basis-guide til Kanban) that can be used as a reminder of Kanban good practice.
Her background is 30 years of IT project management in big global companies. She holds a large number of certifications and is deeply involved with Project Management Institute. She participates as a VIP Subject Matter Expert in their agile initiatives. Her deep knowledge about project management means that she can also help Project Managers deliver more effective projects using Kanban combining it with any PM method.
Her main passion is taking agility further than the team level. She uses systems thinking to also incorporate the portfolio level as well as the individual projects, and not least visualize cross-team dependencies, conflicting interests, bottlenecks etc. to optimize flow and create balance on the broader scale.
Annette is a public speaker, and is speaking regularly at big international conferences and in networks etc.. Always about Kanban. She is sharing her thoughts about agile methods and systems on her blog www.xvoto.wordpress.com, and you can follow her on Twitter and LinkedIn.
